# BESS Subdivisions Report

The BESS report is a complete record of all information entered into the tool for the project.

A BESS project version, and its accompanying BESS report, are 'draft' until published by the user. Project versions should be published before submission to Council.

Once you have completed the BESS assessment and you are ready to finalise your BESS report, use the 'View report' button to preview your results.

# Document Checklist

Per the ‘Document Checklist’ page in the tool, this lists each of the project commitments under the relevant subdivision documentation, with the evidence that should be shown in these documents.

# Standards Summary

A summary view of categories and commitments to standards. Displays all standards relevant to the project. Where standards are not targeted (eg. Alternative design response or overlying strategic plan), this is also shown in the standards summary, including the reason provided.

Use the standards summary to easily identify opportunities to improve the project outcome.

# Detailed Report by Category

This is the detailed section of the report and includes all data entered into the tool.

This section of the report includes the standards and category outcome information that is also available in the standards summary section.

Data entered by the user is shown with a grey background.

# Viewing a BESS Report

View the BESS report for your project version at any time:

  • From within the project, via the sidebar 'View Report'
  • From the projects page (published versions only)

# Publishing your BESS Report

All BESS reports submitted to Council should be published.

When a project version is published, that version becomes read-only and no further changes can be made. The version is given a unique revision number, e.g. R1, R2 etc.

Once you are ready to publish your report, select 'Publish' in the sidebar and follow the prompts. Your project version will update from draft to published, and your published report will be available to view and download.

# Printing to pdf

Print your report to pdf for submission to Council with your other planning permit documentation.

Use the "Print Report" button on the report page. From here, use your browser print command (either control-P, right mouse click and select 'Print', or other command for your browse). In the Print dialog box select 'Print to PDF'. If you don't have this option you will need to install a pdf printer.

# Changes after submission

You may need to make changes after publishing your report. If this is the case, you can edit your draft report, and then re-publish it for submission to council. Do this under the Projects tab.
